Milania, having just completed her residency, is a Public Psychiatry Fellow. She completed her BS in Biology at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA and attended St. George’s University in the island of Grenada for her MD/MPH. Her passion in helping others and to see the world led her to visit many countries doing research work including Mexico and Peru and participating in medical missions in the Philippines. She then trained at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY for Adult Psychiatry. Her interests and passion include global mental health, serving the underserved population, prevention and recovery oriented services, positive psychiatry and ensuring that mentally ill individuals have a chance to live a meaningful and empowered lives. During her spare time, Milania likes to work out, watch movies, travel, going for long walks on the beach and making amazing food.
